Job Title: Spanish Bilingual Healthcare Receptionist

Our agency is currently looking for a Healthcare Receptionist who can speak Spanish to work with our existing client. The healthcare receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the healthcare facility. They are responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.'

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7:30am - 5:30pm EST

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-in and Check-out:
    • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
    • Verify patient information, collect necessary forms, and ensure accurate registration.
    • Assist patients with the check-out process, scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Appointment Scheduling:
    • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits.
    • Manage the appointment calendar to optimize healthcare provider schedules.
  • Phone and Email Communication:
    • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
    • Respond to patient inquiries, provide information, and direct calls to the appropriate department.
    • Monitor and respond to emails related to appointments and general inquiries.
  • Patient Registration and Recordkeeping:
    • Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
    • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and update patient records as necessary.
  • Insurance Verification:
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance information.
    • Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and coordinate with billing departments as needed.
  • Medical Terminology:
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Clerical Duties:
    • Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Follow established procedures for handling emergency situations, including contacting appropriate personnel and services.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
  • Confidentiality:
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations when handling sensitive information.
  • Multitasking:
    • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including managing phone calls, assisting patients, and addressing administrative duties.
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using office software and healthcare management systems.
  • Experience in ModMed and MedClarity tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare processes.
  • Spanish Bilingual proficiency is required.
